About First Steps to Recovery
At First Steps to Recovery (FSTR), we strive to incorporate the most up-to-date research in developing our programs. Our approach is guided by Science, Access, and peer/family support principles. These core values are evident in our client-centered, and peer-supported services offered virtually and in-person, day and night, weekdays and weekends.
As CRPA support is the bedrock of our service delivery model, a peer/advocate is available to our participants. Through field coaching, assists with housing, food, shelter, medical appointments, legal obligations, and introduction to 12-step programs.
Another of our core philosophies includes medication as a part of recovery (MAT/MAR). We recognize that motivation may sometimes be fleeting. Therefore, we have developed a streamlined engagement process that allows participants to move from initial peer contact to an appointment with our medical providers within 24-48 hours.
